Beginning Monday 12/01/08, all shared and reseller servers will have direct socket access to outgoing port 25 disabled. Scripts will be allowed to make local connections to port 25 to send mail. This will not affect you if you are using a PHP script that utilizes the mail() function as most popular PHP scripts do such as Wordpress, Joomla, etc. It will only affect a small number of scripts that connect directly to remote SMTP servers to send mail. If you are unsure of how your script will operate, we recommend you contact your application's developer.
